Gary M. Glasscock, President and Chief Executive Officer
Gary Glasscock joined Noland in 1982 and serves as its President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Glasscock previously served as administrator of the Hospital for over 15 years. Mr. Glasscock received a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Master of Science in Hospital and Health Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Mr. Glasscock is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He is a past Chairman of the Alabama Hospital Association and also served as Chairman of the Birmingham Regional Hospital Council. Mr. Glasscock is the past President of the Alumni Association of the Health Services Administration program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and is a past recipient of that program’s Outstanding Alumni Award. He also received the Mervyn Sterne Award from the United Way Foundation and the Gold Medal of Excellence from the Alabama Hospital Association. Mr. Glasscock has served numerous other professional and civic organizations.
R. Gary Goff, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
R. Gary Goff joined Noland in 1985 as its Director of Finance and in 1987 became its Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Goff received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of South Alabama. He received his Certificate in Public Accounting in 1978. Mr. Goff is a past president and board member of the Alabama Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (“HFMA”). Mr. Goff is a Fellow in HFMA and is also a recipient of HFMA’s Medal of Honor award. Mr. Goff is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Goff has been active in various professional and civic organizations.
Melody Banks, Vice President Human Resources
Melody Banks joined Noland in 2016 and assumed responsibility of all facets of Noland’s human resources function and strategy. Ms. Banks is a strategic and relational leader with seventeen years of executive experience and accomplishments in all components of Human Resources, Operations and Leadership Development. She has recently served as the Senior Human Resources Executive for a national firm with operations throughout the country. Ms. Banks received her Bachelor Business Administration (BBA) and Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) from Faulkner University. She is currently a candidate for Juris Doctorate from the Birmingham School of Law. Ms. Banks is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and Society for Human Resources Management – Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP). She was the recipient of the Top HR Executive Award and Top HR Innovator Award from the Birmingham Business Journal. Ms. Banks has been active in numerous professional and civic endeavors..
John Heffner, Vice President Hospital Division
John Heffner has been involved in post-acute healthcare services his entire professional career. He worked in psychiatric and rehabilitation services. He served as the Market CEO for Select Specialty Hospital of Orlando prior to joining Noland in 2008 as the Vice President – Hospital Division. Prior to joining Noland, Mr. Heffner also served as Chief Executive Officer for several freestanding long term acute care hospitals. Mr. Heffner has a Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelors of Philosophy in Interdisciplinary Studies from Miami University. He is a member of the American College of Hospital Administrators and was a past Board Member for the Acute Long Term Hospital Association (“ALTHA”).
Carol Knight, Vice President Senior Living Division
Carol Knight joined Noland in 2006 as Vice President of Senior Livinng. Ms. Knight has a B.S. in Administrative Dietetics from Jacksonville State University and a Masters Degree in Hospital and Health Care Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Ms. Knight is currently licensed as a Nursing Home Administrator. She has served on the Board of the Alabama Assisted Living Association and the Alabama Department of Public Health Licensure Advisory Board. Prior to joining Noland, Ms. Knight served as the Director of Quality Assurance for a large nursing home chain and has over thirty years of experience in nursing home administration.
